Mentoring as a Lifeline
"Mentoring is the best way to increase the intellectual abilities of gifted children who become bored in regular classrooms due to lack of challenge."
— Sternberg (2003)
More Than Just Tutoring
A mentor is not just a teacher. As defined in our core research, a mentor is a "trusted counselor or guide who is a positive influence on another person's life."
Our University-based Mentoring Program connects high-potential school students with university faculty, researchers, and subject matter experts. This provides a "stimulating learning ecosystem" that is often impossible to replicate in a standard school setting.
- ✓Expand knowledge base beyond curriculum
- ✓Enhance specialized skills
- ✓Provide career guidance
- ✓Support overall personality development
